About us

The nursery is owned and managed by Sarah Rees-Williams and Anneli Sweet. We are Early Year's teachers (and friends of longstanding) who have taught in a variety of nurseries and schools. Sarah had been head of an Infant School and nursery, and Anneli managed a large, busy nursery before opening the Nursery on the Green!

As mothers of young children ourselves we understand the importance of creating the right environment where we can work in partnership with you to bring out the best in your child.

We work in the nursery daily and never lose sight of the most important part of our job - spending time with the children!

Anneli is the teacher in the Sunshine Room (our pre-school) and Sarah manages the day to day running of the nursery. Sarah always works alongside the staff if the need arises which ensures that our children never need to be cared for by people that they do not know.

Our Staff

The staff at the Nursery are a very dedicated team of professionals. They are committed to providing an outstanding level of care for the children.

Sue

Sue is the nursery secretary but also enjoys getting to know the children in the nursery.

Frances

Frances

Frances has also been with the nursery since the day we opened in 2004. She is a wonderful support to all of the staff as she comes regularly to make the children's tea and tidies the kitchen to maintain the excellent standards of hygiene.

Specialist Teachers

We are committed to giving the children very special opportunities to develop their early skills.

Sarah holds regular French sessions with the children in the Sunshine Room. She concentrates on making the language fun including playing games to develop basic vocablulary.

Hanna is our craft teacher. She brings wonderful sensory craft activities to the pre-school. The children love to work with the yarn, learning to sew, felt and make traditional crafts which they are proud to take home!
Hanna uses her Scandinavian heritage to bring new experiences to the children.

Bryony is the nursery baby-yoga teacher. She is a qualified baby yoga teacher who works with all the children. The babies love the songs and music that she brings to the sessions, and the older children also love the way that she introduces the yoga postures through stories and songs.
